With a reputation for excellence, versatility and innovation the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is Australia’s internationally-acclaimed and oldest orchestra, established in 1906. Following integration with the Melbourne Chorale in 2008, the Orchestra has responsibility for its own choir – the MSO Chorus. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will make its debut at five of the world’s most esteemed series and music festivals in August 2014 under the baton of Chief Conductor, Sir Andrew Davis including the BBC Proms (London), Edinburgh International Festival, Concertgebouw Summer Music Series (Amsterdam), Mecklenburg- Vorpommern Festival at Ulrichshusen (Germany) and Tivoli Concert Hall (Copenhagen).
