RDMR has worked with Cambridge Music Festival since 2012.
Cambridge Music Festival takes place in November under the directorship of Justin Lee. Since 2012, the festival has become annual and is based on a framework of Music, Education and Technology – three areas for which Cambridge is renowned worldwide. The 2013 festival continues to welcome world-class artists, orchestras, choirs and chamber musicians including headline artists Nigel Kennedy, Murray Perahia and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the Britten Sinfonia. The concerts take place in various venues across the city alongside a programme of education and community events and a unique outdoor sound/light projection with Eric Whitacre’s Virtual Choir. The festival’s education and community work has attracted particular acclaim including a Royal Philharmonic Award nomination in 2006 for the ‘Orchestra in a Village’ project.
